Position Overview
We are actively looking for a proficient software developer to contribute to the advancement of our ongoing projects. The role involves coding to create and enhance software, addressing errors, adapting to new hardware, optimizing performance, and upgrading interfaces. Additionally, you will play a key role in overseeing system testing and validation processes, collaborating with customers or departments to address technical issues, and participating in software system design and maintenance.
To excel in this position, a profound understanding of programming languages and familiarity with the software development life cycle is essential. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is a mandatory prerequisite for this role.
Software Developer Responsibilities:
- Enhancing software by rectifying errors, adjusting it for new hardware, optimizing performance, or upgrading interfaces.
- Overseeing system testing and validation procedures.
- Managing software programming and documentation development.
- Collaborating with departments or clients to provide updates on project status and proposals.
- Addressing technical issues, including software system design and maintenance, in collaboration with customers or departments.
- Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
- Designing and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences.
- Automation of inbound and outbound transactions between the plan and vendors/external partners, as well as daily/weekly/monthly reporting functions needed by departments.
- Creation of database tables and views needed by departments for management of Provider, Agent, and other data.
- Work with clinical team (UM/QM) to create process for housing, editing/cleaning, and submitting EDPS/encounter claims files.
- Generating reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.
- Engaging with project managers to gather information on limitations or capabilities.
- Web Development upgrades/re-builds for current website and database/portal platforms.
Software Developer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle.
- Eagerness to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in developing unit tests for code components or entire applications.
- A creative mindset is highly valued.
- Proficiency as a full-stack developer with a solid understanding of software engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to diverse software development projects.
- In-depth knowledge of programming languages (C#, Python as examples).
Required Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
Required Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development (experience in healthcare preferred).
Professional Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent proficiency in full-stack development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and database management.
- Understanding of software design and architecture.
